

American sun is a golden memory from that summer of '96, and 400-metre ace Jamie Baulch now aims to pass on the secret formula which fuelled him to a silver medal at the Atlanta Olympic Games.
Successful cocktails have always crossed the pallet of the Nottingham-born Great Britain athlete, of course. Exuberant Baulch has basked in the limelight since the early Nineties with glory at World Junior battles, World Indoor meetings, European, Commenwealth and World senior Championships.
Baulch has wallowed in tickertape and smashed records at mystical Seoul, romantic Paris, historical Greece, Kuala Lumpur, Johannesburg, Japan and Sydney - receiving more accolades at Crystal Palace, Manchester, Birmingham and Munich.
He came into the world during a year Richard Nixon and Watergate dominated the news papers. It was 1973, union were strong and the UK was on the verge of an industrial meltdown, but Baulch sunny disposition and exhilirating on-and-off-the track performances were always destined to raise a nation's hearts.
A star on BBC TV'S A Question of Sport and even seen as a potential rock performer, Baulch's sincerity and deep thought is subtly disguised. Yet, it is easily spotted by his close friends Linford Christie, Dame Kelly Holmes and Wales and British Lions rugby union talent Shane Williams.
Recruited as a fitness and dietary expert at GSD by Chairman Steve Day, as well as a Directors role within the Company, Baulch's mandate is to maintain and increase the fitness levels of the company's charges.
Baulch heads his own marketing brand with the assistance of Day's Sales and Marketing Company. They are based at GSD's futurinstic offices at Cardiff Bay's Caspian Point, and Baulch reflected: "Steve Day values my input and I am pleased to be associated with a company that has clear ideas on how an agency needs to be seen in a harsh commercial sports environment.
"GSD never follow the quick-buck mentality of many of their competitors, but adhere to the correct ethics required.
They really do care about the youngsters they sign or are associated with, and aim to see them reach their potential by carefully monitoring their progress whilst they are both in and awaw from their clubs.
